Project Name 128, 132 Washington Two Family Construction Project Number 20240517 Project Address 128, 132 Washington St Comments 1) The Applicant, Lori Sames, now is requesting what looks like a 50% reduction in the Interior Side Setback. I strongly oppose the ZBA approving this Variance, as placing a driveway here would create a “Detriment to the health, safety and welfare” of the people living next to this proposed driveway. 2) The Applicant, Lori Sames, is requesting a 45% reduction in the Rear Setback. I strongly oppose this proposed Variance, as this would allow a longer wall to be built, which would affect 9/20/24, 9:52 AM Mail - Julia Destino - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkADI5NDIzZGRiLTQwNjEtNGM1MS05ZmQxLTUyZTNkMzFiZDJiZQAQACE%2BcCfiQS9Pr0cEjrtQZDI…1/2 negatively more residents on Dublin Square Lane. The Dublin Square townhouses were built in 2001, and some residents have lived here for more than a decade. It’s a shame that their rights are being ignored for the benefit of a future homeowner who will be renting out the second structure. 3) Defining these two single-family homes, attached by only one small short wall in both length and height, as a two-family dwelling contradicts the UDO language and intent. The proposal you have been given is not “A” structure, but rather two structures attached by one very small wall. The reason the applicant has to request such large variances is because 13,200 sq ft are needed to build the two single-family homes she is proposing, and there are only 8,500 sq ft available, a 36% land shortage. I ask that the ZBA reconsider the classification of this proposal as two single-family homes, not a two-family dwelling. Thank you.
