At the City’s request, ABD Engineers & Surveyors, LLP has reviewed the
potential traffic impacts of the proposed mixed-use development consisting of eleven
(11) apartments and 3,698 sf of Professional Office space located at 1 Driscoll Road in
the City of Saratoga. This assessment presents an estimate of the traffic this project
modification would generate and compares it to the previous approval.
The trip generation for the proposed uses was estimated using data found in the
Trip Generation Manual, 11th Edition, published by the Institute of Transportation
Engineers (ITE). Based on data for Land Use Code (LUC) 220 – “Apartments”, LUC–
710“General Office”.
Previous Approval
The previous approval was 9,500± SF office. And 7 apartment units. Based on
ITE, there are approximately 44 trips in both the AM and PM spread out over the normal
arrival and departure times.

As compared above, this project is expected to generate trips in the AM peak
hour similar to what is now occurring, and in the PM peak hour, there will be about 6-7
less trips.
Based on the traffic assessment, the proposed development will not result in any
significant traffic impacts that would require mitigation.
