Comments My wife and I are thrilled that the owner of 38 Beekman Street
has changed course and is now planning to restore the
building. This is terrific news for us and the entire neighborhood
and I we are in full support of the necessary exterior
modification plan. We are particularly pleased with the plan to
preserve the upstairs porch. Second story porches make up the
character of Beekman street as a whole and we have lost
several over the years.
We built our home at 23 Beekman street 18 years ago and, per
DRB approval, used cement fiberboard. It has held up well and
has only required repainting one time. We are also in support of
the plans for railings, posts, etc.
