Comments In addition to other concerns from neighbors who have
expressed opposition to this proposal I also want underscore

that the project call for the demolition of a potentially historically
significant single family stricture. Assuming it is true that the
existing single family home was built in 1898 I would suggest
that before the Planning Board or Zoning Board render a
decision, particularly if you are leaning in favor, that an advisory
opinion is obtained by the Saratoga Preservation Foundation.
Saratoga's identity is rooted in preserving historical structures
and our neighborhood should not be an exception.
As others have expressed, traffic in this area is challenging,
particularly at the intersection of Aletta and West Circular.
While traffic peaks at predictable school hours, the traffic to and
from Market 32 (Price Chopper) generates ongoing traffic
throughout each day.
I am in favor of redeveloping the other two lots, but only in
conformity to current zoning requirements. These standards
have been adopted to support development that is consistent
with existing structures.
Thank you all for your volunteer work on the Board.
Sincerely,
