Assuming it is true that the existing single family home was built in 1898 I would suggest that before the Planning Board or Zoning Board render a decision, particularly if you are leaning in favor, that an advisory opinion is obtained by the Saratoga Preservation Foundation. Saratoga's identity is rooted in preserving historical structures and our neighborhood should not be an exception. As others have expressed, traffic in this area is challenging, particularly at the intersection of Aletta and West Circular. While traffic peaks at predictable school hours, the traffic to and from Market 32 (Price Chopper) generates ongoing traffic throughout each day. I am in favor of redeveloping the other two lots, but only in conformity to current zoning requirements. These standards have been adopted to support development that is consistent with existing structures. Thank you all for your volunteer work on the Board.
