Comments This is a great project and I'm excited to see it. I do think it can
be improved, though.

1. The site plan shows a parking lot and curbside pickup in
front of the building on the Broadway side. This is a bad look
for this gateway entrance to the city. There should be no
parking in front of the building and the curbside pickup should
be moved to the side.
2. There should be an entrance in the front of the building (the
Broadway side) for cyclists and pedestrians.
3. It's great to see bike racks, but it would be better if they were
under cover.
4. The plans show a proposed multi-use path "to be built by
others." This is an important amenity that will benefit Treehouse
as much as the city and the Planning Board should take steps
to make sure it happens and that Treehouse contributes.
Congressman Tonko has selected the city's Crescent Avenue
connector project for $300k in this budget cycle. When built, the
Crescent Ave multi-use path will connect the Spa Park with
well-used cycling routes to the east. Given this location close to
Spa Park and Crescent Ave (a county bike route), Treehouse
will be a popular place for bike clubs and casual cyclists to start
and end rides. The Planning Board should ensure that there's a
safe multi-use connection between Crescent and Treehouse.
And Treehouse should want that as well. Treehouse should be
required to either build the multi-use path (exact location TBD)
to Crescent or put money in escrow for someone else to build
it.
