Comments As someone who regularly bicycles past the future site of the
Treehouse Brewing Company, I wanted to let you know that I

am enthusiastic about the plan. Especially when combined with
the Crescent Ave bike trail, this will be an awesome destination
for people out enjoying themselves, either in the State Park, or
coming from the east side of the city. The renderings showing
the bike racks and multi-use trail connection especially excite
me.
I think the plans could be improved, along with the future of the
city in general, by moving more of the attractive, fun part of the
design, namely the entrance, the outdoor seating, fire pits,
(numbers 4, 9, 10, 15) etc, towards the front, where people will
be able to see them. I love the picnic tables and benches in
front (8 & 25). They could be connected with the rest of the
plan, if the parking lot (7) and building itself weren't in the way.
The future multi-use path (23) sounds great, but its source
seems a bit nebulous. At the very least, it should be possible to
safely reach this facility from the multi-use paths on Crescent
Ave and the State Park. Bike racks will likely go unused if no
one can safely get to them.
With this project, and especially with changes like these, I think
development South Broadway could improve a lot, bringing
more people interested in walking or biking around and
spending more money at more fun businesses like Treehouse,
rather than just driving past.
