Comments I am extremely concerned about the scope and size of the
proposed Stewart’s project with retail space. This section of
Marion Avenue is very busy and accidents are frequent. The
expansion proposal will make the traffic which is already
congested a nightmare. Traffic frequently blocks access into
Maple Dell. There are homes and neighborhoods here who will
be subjected to fluorescent light shining into their yards and
homes as well as noise from the stores and car wash. The
resovoir is right next to the gas pumps/stewarts. I’m concerned
about the environmental impact and safety of our water supply.
In addition, what will the future bring for the old Stewart’s on
Maple Dell? Stewart’s also keeps trying to make the lot at the
end of Maple Dell commercial when it is a zoned residential lot.
Enough!!! Residents here do not want more business and
traffic and noise. I’m so sick of constantly having to fight the
Stewart’s expansion plans. This business cares little about the
character of my neighborhood. This is a lovely neighborhood
about to be destroyed.
