City Saratoga springs State NY Zip Code 12866 Phone Number 5182485600 Project Name 140 Grand Partial Demolition and New Addition Project Number 20230992 Project Address 140 Grand Ave Comments I'm in support of the demolition of the rear 2/3 of the structure if the following concerns can be addressed: Drainage/Proximity 2/28/24, 11:16 AM Zimbra https://m.saratoga-springs.org/h/printmessage?id=26268&tz=America/New_York 2/2 to Sidewalk: Can the placement of the new addition will be moved away from the sidewalk on Beekman. The house is currently directly adjacent to the sidewalk and the roof drains onto the sidewalk causing ice. I would like to see the new addition drainage plans for the Beekman side of the addition. The roof drainage patterns/plan were not readily apparent in the documents. If the new addition is directly on the sidewalk, construction will essentially close the sidewalk on that side of the street during the entire construction process. Parking: If the owner plans to maintain a minimum of two off street parking spaces. There are currently two spaces to the left side of the building front that enter from Grand. We have a challenging parking situation on Beekman. Hazardous waste: That there's a plan to safely dispose of any asbestos in the basement. Old boilers and radiator pipes of that age typically had asbestos insulation covering them. Looking to avoid asbestos covered piping/materials left open and exposed during construction. Thank you for hearing my concerns and I am glad you are able to restore the front 1/3 of this historic building! Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed. Email not displaying correctly?
