I grew up 2/8/24, 9:57 AM Zimbra https://m.saratoga-springs.org/h/printmessage?id=25393&tz=America/New_York 2/2 in Saratoga and passed by this property often, appreciating the history behind it even then. I have also read the letter from the Preservation Society and completely agree with the information and and comments ; finding them to be more than reasonable and fair. I, in fact, feel the carriage house should have a slate roof in the original design also. Saratoga Springs has a rich history and some architectural masterpieces- the likes of which will never be seen again, once gone. People choose to visit and live here because of its’ reputation . That reputation is due, in a large part, because of the restoration and/or preservation of these beautiful and storied buildings. I grew up in a carriage house in Saratoga and looking back as an adult, it was an experience that I was extremely lucky to have. I urge you to preserve these buildings to the fullest extent. Thank you. Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed. Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser.
