Comments As a Saratoga Springs res, I support the application of the
UUCSS for a permit to erect a church building on the Louden
Road Site. Neighbors in the immediate vicinity of the church
site have given their enthusiastic support,.
although a few in the Bog Meadow area have raised issues
regarding traffic and the effect on the water table of supplying
water to the church. The church operates primarily on
Sunday leaving its impact on traffic flow and water use at very
low levels for the remaining six days of the week. And Sunday
mornings are traditionally days of very low traffic volume. The
church population is relatively small attracting at most. several
dozen vehicles to Sunday services. As for the impact on the
water table, the modest demands the church building would
place on that resource strongly suggest that it will have no
adverse impact on water use by the churches' neighbors.
Indeed, most of the land being dedicated to the new church
building is restricted so that no structure can be erected
thereon. That land is left as undeveloped, park like space, a
scenic vista the church hopes to build walking trails on and
space where our neighbors walk. Please approve this
application as soon as possible, Thank you
