Comments As a citizen of Saratoga Springs and a member of Unitarian
Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs, I am in favor of
this project. I have no objection to the Special Use Permit and
offer the following comments in support of its issuance:
• This Congregation's Sunday Services have been held at 624
North Broadway for over 20 years without complaint. We are
good neighbors.
• We are good stewards of the environment because that is
important to our Congregation. What we hope to build is
equivalent to the size of houses in the area. We intend to use
natural materials and a design that blends with the natural
surroundings.
• Our proposed Meeting House and site development will
improve the appearance of the site.
• We plan to keep as many trees as possible and plant new
trees that will ensure the neighbors’ privacy.
• A church uses much less water than a similar-sized
residential home.
• UU Saratoga is a small Congregation. Our traffic use has
never been a problem. The majority of our traffic use takes
place on Sunday mornings.
