Comments At the November 30 public hearing our landscape architect,
Jeff Anthony, presented an explanation of why our
congregation is so enthusiastic about the prospect of building
on this lovely property, so congruent with our principles. We
anticipate preserving the natural beauty of the area.
Several residents of the Bog Meadow neighborhood spoke
about against our request, focused on traffic disruption and
concern that our presence would cause their wells to run dry. In
a follow-up letter Mr. Anthony addressed their concerns. It is
important to not that a church would use much less water than
a private home, which apparently the speakers would prefer,
and that traffic generated by the 75 or so congregants would be
primarily on Sunday mornings, not a high use time for Louden
Road.
We have been well received by the Upper Broadway neighbors
in our current location of twenty years, and would hope to
establish similarly comfortable relations with those of Bog
Meadow. Please support our opportunity to develop a positive
presence on this Louden Road property
