Comments I support the approval of the zoning change for this project. I
understand that concerns were raised about water usage and
well supply as well as the concern for additional traffic. As a
church the water usage is significantly less than with a typical
residential home so should not be a concern. The most traffic
will be around the Sunday morning worship service and with
the deletion of the Bog Meadow egress there will be no
additional traffic in the neighborhood. I am a member of the
church and deeply involved in the planning of the structure. We
are a very environmentally concerned congregation and have
purposely selected a design that will blend in with the wooded
environment using wood and stone. We have a long history of
being good neighbors on North Broadway and of course intend
to continue that goal while being a welcoming community and
blending in with this neighborhood. We are a small
congregation and will keep the parking area to a minimum for
the sake of the neighborhood and to preserve as much of the
natural environs as possible. Every sustainable and
environmentally safe and energy-efficient process will be
incorporate in the building and maintaining of our building. We
look forward to being a positive addition on the edge of the Bog
Meadow neighborhood and urge you to vote favorably on our
proposal.
