Comments I enthusiastically support the application of the Unitarian
Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs to erect a
church on land currently zoned as residential. I am a member
of the congregation and appreciate that it has always been an
unobtrusive, community-minded presence at its current
location. Its members and leaders have the need to be good
neighbors in their bones, and I have no doubt the congregation
will always be sensitive to the needs and wellbeing of its
neighbors.
I understand some neighbors have expressed concern about
disruptions to the environment and water table at the proposed
Louden Road location, but I would point out that a) the building
would use considerably less water than any residence on the
site and b) the congregation intends to replace any and all
trees that would be cleared on the site. One of the guiding
principles of UUCSS is respecting the environment. As far as
any traffic problems, please note that the main traffic use will
be on Sunday mornings.i am convinced that building a church
on the site will be a positive improvement to the site and
neighborhood and as a citizen of Saratoga Sorings, I have no
objection to any change to land use or zoning policies and
hope that you will allow construction to move ahead.
Thanks you, John C. Fisher
