Comments I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed
congregation directly outside of my neighborhood. While I
understand there is a need for the congregation to seek a new
home in our city, I believe that this project would have a
negative impact.
The proposed congregation and parking lot is very large for the
area, leading to increased traffic congestion and noise. Due to
the size of both the structure and the parking lot, I surmise a lot
of trees would need to be removed (as opposed to a single-
family home being built). Louden Road and the nearby roads
are already very highly trafficked, and the noise is greatly
reduced due to the dense trees outside of the neighborhood.
Removing so many of these trees to make way for the large
congregation and parking lot will undoubtably lead to a
permanent increase in traffic noise.
It would also drastically alter the aesthetic of our neighborhood.
I am also deeply concerned about the impact this project would
have on property values.
I strongly urge you to reconsider this proposed project. While I
recognize the need for the congregation to expand, I believe
that this project is simply not the right fit for our neighborhood.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Nicole Kurtz
