The proposed site plan includes one (1) two story building with a footprint of 20,300 square feet, associated parking areas, utilities and landscaping. This letter/report will describe the water use and wastewater generation for the proposed development. Public water service is proposed to be provided by the City of Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works. WASTEWATER DEMANDS The total new wastewater demands have been calculated based on the 10 State Standards of 0.1 gallons per day per square foot (gpd/sf) for commercial use, and the NYSDEC Hydraulic loading rate of 3 gallons per seat for a church. The Average Daily Wastewater Flow and Peak Hour Wastewater Flow generated for the proposed development is 3,080 gpd and 9.63 gpm, respectively. A detailed outline of the wastewater flow calculations is included within Appendix A of this letter/report. WATER DEMANDS The water usage for the proposed development has been calculated for cumulative uses in the building based on the 10 State Standards of 0.1 gallons per day per square foot (gpd/sf) for commercial use, and the NYSDEC hydraulic loading rate of 3 gallons per day per seat. The Average Day, Max Day, and Max Hour water usage rates for the existing site have been calculated to be 2.1 gpm, 4.3 gpm, and 7.5 gpm, respectively. A detailed outline of the water demand calculations is included within Appendix A of this report. The water service for the proposed development will be provided by the existing water main location along NYS Route 50. The estimated increase in water usage and wastewater flows for the Grace Fellowship Sketch Plan are relatively insignificant in comparison with the water and wastewater capacity in the area. Therefore, it is expected that the increase in water and sanitary sewer demands will not have an adverse impact on the existing utilities.
