Typically white st is full by 8am on race days. squeezing in another single family residence adds to the density of the neighborhood as well as creates a physical change. the requested variance is substandial as many of the zoning requirements will not be met and are significant (setbacks, parking). This request for a variance is self created and we wonder how it meets the necessary criteria? How is it a hardship for the applicant? The stormwater is an issue of great concern, as we currently have water pooling in our yard (due to today's rain). What will happen when there is a large structure directing water to our property? (see attached photos) When we were looking to purchase our home (28 years ago) we visited many times of the day to see the light and how it entered the house. One of the reasons we purchased it was due to the light as well as the privacy afforded us by the barn as it was used only for storage. we feel the application does not meet the criteria you have so carefully implemented and we respectfully request that it be denied as it currently stands.
