Following discussion on this matter on June 7, 2023, the Commission issues the following opinion: Favorable Opinion Considerations: 1. The proposed location of the structure is appropriate. 2. The roof eaves are appropriate as designed. There would be an adverse impact to both the aesthetics and functionality to decrease the eaves, and there may be a benefit to extending the eaves further. 3. The Design Review Board is recommending the elimination of the man door on the front façade in order to meet compliance with historic standards. 4. The hip roof as presented is not an inappropriate design, A flat roof would not be a preferred design. Record of vote: motion to approve made by T. Ehinger, seconded by R.
