The previous establishment at this location, "Allerdice Rent-All" was a nuisance, albeit a very minor one; the main reasons being early morning noise and occasional street traffic issues. Their departure from the neighborhood, while not necessarily desired, has been an overall positive for the neighborhood... Which is more than I can say for just about anything I might expect from Bonacio Construction. None of the permitted establishments a special use permit allows for would benefit our community in any way: there are plenty of sparsely attended barbershops and beauty salons in this town already, the odds of a local pharmacy or grocery being able to afford the inflated rent the property will likely demand after the largely un- needed renovation are quite low and a chain's presence is unwanted, and the odds of a quality variety store opening are equally low - the last thing we need on our block where children play is a phony psychic, smoke shop, or any amount of other ill- advised establishments. Nothing the location could be zoned for under a commercial permit would bring any value whatsoever to our community, and I politely suggest that Bonacio take his development Hell to other overstuffed areas of town instead, and leave our neighborhood alone to finally get back to the true quiet it's deserved for so long.
