Balzer, AIA LEED AP, Partner Zone: PUD Project Address: 500 Union Avenue Saratoga Springs, New York 12866 Project Description: The project consists of the demolition of the existing Longfellows restaurant and banquet facility and the construction of a new addition in its place that connects the existing (18) room inn to the north to the existing (32) room hotel to the west. The addition will include a new entry to the hotel via a porte cochere under the second floor of the addition that spans across the existing drive lane. There will be a new Lobby, Lounge, Restaurant/Bar and Ballroom with support kitchen on the first floor. Additional guestrooms will be added to the second and third for of the addition, bringing the total room count to (88). Offices, mechanical spaces, housekeeping and employee spaces will be located in the basement of the addition. The project also includes the renovation of the existing inn and hotel, both interior and exterior. The existing siding will be repainted and/or replaced and new roofing installed. We're exploring replacing the existing windows and possibly the PTAC units in the guestrooms.
