Comments I am a resident of Adams Road, PhD, and Mother of 2 children,
and I am asking the Planning Board to delay the vote on the
20230008 Duplainville Site Plan (Munter/Soleno) until our
community's character and safety are addressed:
The most recent 12.7.2022 Traffic Report requested by Munter,
provided by Creighton Manning provides misrepresented data.
It is critical to note the report omits Adams Road. Locals in the
area agree that Adams Road sees predictable shift change
employee-generated traffic, often exceeding the 30mph limit.
Geyser Elementary School is on Adams Road and we often
see runners and children riding their bikes from Geyser towards
Rip Van Lane along Adams Road because we do not have
sufficient sidewalks. Children are vulnerable to this project’s
increase in traffic changes and this must be addressed in the
traffic study. I beseech you to require an updated and accurate
Traffic Study to protect our children.
Furthermore, John Munter has previously stated to the
Planning Board that there is no neighborhood opposition, no
anticipated adverse visual impact, and no noise impact. This is
objectively inaccurate. The renderings of the site omit any of
the residences along Adams Road, where Munter has
proposed to deforest entirely.
A complete and careful environmental and traffic review is
warranted to ensure that City Council Plans are being adhered
to and our neighbors in SW Saratoga, Geyser Elementary
School, and Adams Road are not subject to serious safety risks
from the proposed 20230008 Duplainville Site Plan.
