INTRODUCTION The proposed Project is located at 12 St Raymond Ct, in the City of Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, NY. The project includes water and sanitary sewer connections to two new single-family residences. II. EXISTING WATER AND SANITARY UTILITES City water service is currently available adjacent to the site. A 4” water main is located along the east side of St Raymond Court, west of the site, with a fire hydrant located on the northwest corner of the parcel. City sanitary sewer service is available along Grand Avenue. The 8” municipal sanitary main is located approximately 170’ west of the St. Raymond Court intersection. Wastewater from this system ultimately flows to the Saratoga County Sewer District No. 1 (SCSD) wastewater treatment plant in Mechanicville. III. PROJECTED WATER AND WASTEWATER FLOWS Table 1 below provides information on the anticipated average potable water use and wastewater flow rates for the Project in gallons per day (gpd). Water use and wastewater flow are estimated to be equal for this study. Table 1 Description Use Rate Total Use (2) 3-Bedrooms 110 gpd/each1 660 gpd Total 660 gpd Average daily flow for wastewater is estimated to be 0.46 gallons per minute (gpm). Estimated peak hourly flow is 1.93gpm (4.2 x average)2. Average daily demand for water is estimated to be approximately equal to the wastewater flow or 0.46 gpm. IV. PROPOSED WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITIES A. Proposed Potable Water Utilities To service each residence, a 3/4” Type K copper water service is proposed to connect from the east of each residence to the 4” water main on the east side of St Raymond Court. Connection and appurtenances including corporation stops, trenching, bedding, service connections, as well as testing and disinfection will all be specified in accordance with the City of Saratoga Springs and NYSDOH standards. B. Proposed Wastewater Utilities For sanitary sewer collection, a sanitary main extension is proposed to extend the municipal line to service St Raymond Ct. Extension of the sanitary line will be completed by the City of Saratoga. 6” SDR-26 sanitary laterals will be provided to the two lots from the extended municipal line. References: 1.
