Nicole Babie The Foundation appreciates that the owners want to replace and add piers to stabilize
the porch. The appearance of the new piers should match the existing historic piers.
The Foundation also appreciates that the owners plan to repair the damaged bases of
the wood Ionic columns and replace balusters that are beyond repair in-kind.
However, the Foundation strongly objects the use of synthetic materials to replace the

in-kind with wood.
The Foundation appreciates the effort and investment the applicant is making to
preserve this prominent character-defining feature of their historic property.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration.
