Dear Mrs. Barden:
The following comments pertain to the submission package for 318 West Ave Saratoga Springs, NY. A comment email
was received on March 6, 2023 from Al Flick. Responses to the comments are in bold below.
Email Comments
Comment 1: Include drawing index on Cover Sheet.
Response 1: Drawing Index is included on the revised Cover Sheet
Comment 2: Provide a Project Cost Estimate to determine if On-site + Off-site costs total $10,000 or more in which
case an LOC or Cash Escrow would be required.
Response 2: Cost Estimate is provided with the revised submission and shows that the LOC would be less
than $10,000 and would not require the LOC to be funded.
Comment 3: Did (or does) Lot Line Adjustment No. 2 as shown on survey map require Planning Board
review/approval?
Response 3: Subdivision has already been completed previously.
Comment 4: Sheet L-2.0 should show YMCA easement limits similar to other easements including location of
pipe/infrastructure.
Response 4: There is no easement with the YMCA as the parcel was purchased from them.
Comment 5: How will storm runoff from roof of new building be managed?.
Response 5: Stormwater run-off will shed to existing low area or porous pavement and infiltrate.
Comment 6: Provide spots grades for new areas of pavement to provide for proper drainage.
Response 6: Spot grades has been provided on the revised plans.
Comment 7: Is site lighting and/or exterior building lights needed? If so, provide info
Response 7: No site lighting is proposed and any building lighting would be for security and reviewed by the
building department.
Comment 8: As needed, show silt fence or other necessary ESC measures. Will area around new building be
lawn/grass covered?
Response 8: Erosion sediment control measures are shown on the revised plans. Silt fence is shown for use
during construction.
Comment 9: Provide installation details for asphalt pavement, porous pavement, site lighting, silt fence, etc... as
necessary
Response 9: Construction details are provided for the revised plans.
