RE: THE MODERNE CONDMINIUMS ART GALLERY
128 HENRY STREET
Dear Members,
As previously presented, this condominium residence building will feature a
professionally curated street side public art gallery. The viewing area will feature built in
benches, landscaping, street lighting, a permanent sculpture and a heated promenade.
The outdoor space will consist of eleven projected viewing portals of alternating sizes to
accommodate various types of two and three-dimensional art and sculpture. Each portal
will include a digital framing projector which will allow maximum presentation
flexibility. The gallery will incorporate a climate control system, museum quality
lighting and digital screening capabilities and as such, a predetermined viewing schedule
will be established. This concept will offer a completely digital experience as well as a
more traditional showing of actual pieces or a combination of both. Also, many more
artists will be capable of presenting simultaneously through different types of mediums.
After careful consideration, I have chosen AMP Galleries of Saratoga Springs to curate
the project. Sharon Castro & Rebecca Kane have extensive experience in gallery
management and their present operation focuses on local artists. Together with myself as
the condominium capital sponsor, we will assemble exhibits that feature diverse and
creative types of art. There will be an interactive feature so the public can secure direct
access to any of the presented artists.
The Moderne gallery will be incorporated into the offering plan as a permanent feature of
the project and as such, will be the responsibility of the condominium homeowner's
association. The HOA will pay a fee to AMP to professionally curate the program and
will be responsible for the ongoing operations and content. At no time will non-art
related, political or offensive presentations be allowed.
We are very excited and anxious to bring this unique public and interactive art experience
to Henry Street!
Sincerely;
Robert Bucher Jr.
