As we understand the variance process, the Marshall's e�:isting house infringes on the side setback to the east and is supposed to be a minimum of 8 feet from that property line. The Marshall's stopped by our house to inform us of their intention, showing that their proposed addition will maintain this line and infringe on the same setback in the same manner requiring.over three feet of relief. While we understand this infringes on the setback, we believe overall the project benefits the neighborhood as it allows the Marshalls to invest and remain in their home. And, while understand the court of public opinion is not how variances granted, this speaks to the perceived lack of detrimental impact to the neighborhood.
