To the Saratoga Spring Design Review Commission,
We are seeking an administrative approval for an extension of the east side of the
tent structure located behind Hattie's Restaurant. Due to recent construction
projects at Caffe Lena, construction of a new building at 55 Phila St. and resulting
demands of the Saratoga Springs Public Library our patio space has been reduced.
In an effort to make up for this lost space we are expanding our patio approximately
6' to the East. To provide overhead coverage and weather protection for the new
area we must extend the tent by +-6'. The tent frame will be made of the same
materials as the current structure and the vinyl covering will be the same material
and color (Black). The pitch of the current structure will also be maintained. The
extension will not be visible from any public vantage point. We appreciate your
time and attention to this matter and are happy to answer any question you may
have.
Sincerely, Jasper Alexander
