There is one way out.
When that way is blocked, which it has been often:
NO emergency - - enter
residents can get home
• residents can leave home
Is that a safe situation for a victim of domestic violence or their children?
Is that a safe situation for tIIIIIIIIIII
Adding more population density is putting more people at risk.

current residents:
TRAFFIC IS PART OF LIVING IN
SARATOGA SPRINGS
We know that.
We expect that.
BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT.
WE. ARE. TRAPPED.
Whenever our one way in/one way out is blocked by anything — a moving van, a fallen
tree, an accident— we have no alternate route and neither do emergency vehicles

F U LL TRAFFIC STU DY NEEDED
October 21 , 2022 from 3:35-4:35pm (not even the busiest time) at the small, three-
way intersection of Veteran's Way & Excelsior Ave, neighbors counted
420 vehicles in ONE HOUR, including 15 school buses
Last full traffic study was done in 2002 BEFORE the 3 apartment Mr
houses and 18 townhouses (totaling 103 residences) were built
NO COUNTERS were used in the 2020 Update which was used
to pass the new SUP!
Residents of Excelsior Park will pay for the study

IMPACT
• Over 100 trees will need to be cut down for this
project!
• Trees that
• Provide a noise buffer from Route 50
• Clean the air from the traffic on the Northway and
Route 50
• Provide shelter and food for wildlife in the nearby
wetlands
