Comments I attended the 9/15 Planning Board meeting and heard about
the proposed building that would be built in the parking lot next
to The Algonquin. The lot is one of the few open spaces along
Broadway where one can see something other than a
building. Please don't build here. Walking along Maple Ave.
from the Hilton, one must past the eyesore brick facade of the
back of the City Center and its cavernous parking garage
across the street. Please don't continue this with more walls
blocking off the sky and trees. And we don't need any more
expensive apartments where those who work in the city can't
afford to live. Wouldn't a well-designed park be preferable in
this space? Please stop catering to the wealthy developers.
Thank you for your consideration of my thoughts.
