RE: 81 Phila Street—New Construction
Dear Ms. Ehinger,
Board of Directors The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation revieWed the revised drawings for the
Michele M.Funiciello construction of a new two-family residence at 81 Phila Street.
Pesident
Sheila Sperling The Foundation is pleased with the lower roof pitch and the simpler fenestration of the
Vie PeSident third floor. The Foundation continues to recommend that the decorative brackets be
Linda L.Harvey removed from the primary facade. The brackets are not appropriate for the style of the
seeta house and they do not have sufficient depth because the cornice appears to only be 6"deep.
Stephen Kyne The Foundation also continues to recommend that the front door move forward from 5'6"
Treasue
to 4' so that it is more visible from the street.
Tiffany Blair
Steven Dodds
Giovanna D'Orazio Again, the Foundation appreciates the significant investment the owner is making to
Julia Dunn redevelop this vacant lot.
