This project wi imact the Hemlvk Trail aea of 5aratoga Spa 5tate Park, A pedestrian crvsswalk is currently prapased frm th deveapmnt to the Hmlok Tai! entran. W antiipat significantly greate usage of this natural area nce 198 apartments ar ccupied acrss the stret. The trail entrance urrently has just a dirt drve and cleared dirt aras fo nformal parking. The sit plan offers little detai n the speifications f the rasswalk, appearing t simply hav pedestians enter the same unpaed dievvay as the cars do. The tral entance's undeveloped nature aleady maks it a targt fvr ilfegal dumpng and partying. . lf pvssible, PRHP would lik to see: • More detaif on the crossvtira[k and DT's approva of such. Daes it require a pdestrian actiVate light? Safety is a concern. ■ mpravments are needed at Hemlock Tral to accommodate the influx af new residents in clvse pflximity to this heretafore remte park area. Cn this devepment contribute to them thraugh the City's surcharges an deelpment? The trail area will need signage, interpretativn, street . lighting for safety at the entran, oardwalks and trail mprovemnts, as we[ as stepped up security patrls. Thank yvu for your consideration and engagng u agency as part nf your plannng proess. 5i ncerely, Alane Bal1 Chinian Regona!
