Project Address 30 Caroline Street https://m.saratoga-springs.org/h/printmessage?id=2041&tz=America/New_York 1/2 9/6/22,3:11 PM Zimbra Comments I live in a historic neighborhood of Saratoga Springs. Part of why we chose to live here is due to the local architecture and preservation of historic character of the nearby homes and buildings. As a home owner, I know that complying with historic preservation requirements adds effort and cost to projects. It can be frustrating but it is worth doing to keep this city a special place to live, work and vacation. I expect the design review board to take equal care to approve or deny building designs for both residential and commercial properties to uphold the design principles that support our community history and future prosperity. The 30 Caroline Street project height is not in- keeping with the historic neighborhood and the design considerations of the Architectural Review District. I respectfully ask the design review board to require that the property owner adapt the design to a lower height that is fitting with this historic area. Attach Photo (optional) Feld not completed.
