4. DESIGN GUIDELINES:
The Design Review Commission will evaluate whe�her the proposed action (construction, alteration or
demolition) is compatible with existing structures and surrour�ding properties using the following criteria:
• Height—consistent with historic form and context af site and surrounding properties
• Sca[e—relatior�s�ip of structure and its architectural elements to human siae, form, perteption
• Proportion—relationship among building eleme�ts including front fa�ade, windows, and doors
• Rhytt�m—pattern resulting from repeating building elements such as doorlwindow apenings, columns,
arches, and other fa�ade elemenrs
• Directional Expression—compatibility with harizanr.al &vertical expressio� of surround�ng structures
• Massing&Open Space—relationship of structure ta open space between it an� adjoining buiidings
• Setback—compatibility with surrounding strucCures
• Compatibility of the follawing with surrounding structureslpraperties:
- Major building elements (storefronts, doors,windows, roo�
- Buifding materials
- Color--(in non-residential zoning districts only)
5. DECISIONS:The Design Review Commission may approve, approve with conditions, or disapprove an
application. The DRC may impose appropriate conditions and safeguards in connection with its approval
includ�ng naturelquality of mater'iaEs, manner of canstruction, and design. An applicant may appeal a denied
DRC application on the grounds of hardship.
Application approvals shall expire within 18 months of the filing date unless the project has sufficiently
commenced (i.e. buiiding/demalition permits obtained and construction/afteration begu�). Applicanrs may
request up to 2 extensions if requested before expiration date of prior approvaf.
6. AGEf�DA DATE: Check City's website (www.saratoQa-springs.org) for zn.eeting dates. App�ications are
placed on an agenda on ffrst-corr�e,�'irst-served basis as determined by the completeness of the application.

fails due to a defect in material ar workmanship,HnlbrooEc Heating,Inc_witf furnish a replacement part free of charge.Parts
furnished with longer thar�30(thirty}days warranty periods by the parts tnanufacturer shall be furnished in accordance with
tF�eir speci?c warranty.
5ervice Call/Labor Warranty:
There will be no additional service call charged to correct any repair previously made within 30�thirty}days from the date of
original repair;unless speci?ed atherwise on the face of this irnoice,T#�ere may be a service cal!and there will be a charge
for labor to replace parts which were nat part of the original repair.The service GaU/lat�or warranty is void if equiprr�ent is
servicecf by others without the written consent nf Holbrook Neating,Inc.Refer to speci?c IEterature on exceptions to
aforerr�entioned service call/labor warranty when in regards to service contracts and/or maintenance agreements{i.e.Tank
5ure�,extended labor warranties,etc.).
Ins#allations Warranty:
The labor warranty for alf new instailations is one year unless otherwise speci?ed per contract.Annuai maintenance(unless
otherwise speci?ed by the manufacturer)is required to keep tF�e warranty from hecoming void."Acts oF Gnd"or other
natural disasters may void Both the labor warranty,and the ma�ufacturer warranty.
Compensation,In�oicing,and Payment:
Paymer�t is due upon completion of service by Holbrook Heating,Inc.The customer acknawledges and agrees to the prites
listed an the face of this invoice for servites rendered anci understands alf applicable warranties by signing this invoice.Any
returned chetks may be sub}ect#o a return theck fee and furkher iegal attion.Technicians are required to ask for driver's
license information as per NY5 law.
Oil Cantainment Sys#ems:
Holhrook Heating,[nc.is nnt liable for any Oi[Containment System that has nat been inspected and maintained to code for
the residentiaf area and the Department of Environmental Conservation(D�C).Holbrook Heating,Inc.will inspect and advise
you on the condition�f your Oii Containment System,in[iuding your storage tank and lines to yaur lieaYing Systetn.
Holbrook Heating,Inc.reserves the right notto repair of fire your Heating System if we feel the Oil Containment System is
not up to code.in the event we da repair or fire your syskem without the ability#o first inspect the Oil Containment 5ystem,
FEolbroofc Heating,tnc.cannot be held liable for the condition of the oil lines feeding the unit,gauges,or container fiolding
fiael.All losses,liabilit}r,damages,costs/expenses(incl�ding but not limited to reasonable a#torneys'fees and other litigation
casts)caused by the Oil Containment System that is not n�aintained pro�erly or inspected are th�respansibility of the
hameowner.
5oot Warranty:
ff�lalbrook Heating,inc.finds that a homeowner`s heafing equipment has soot datttage or has created soot within the
home,Ftolbroo[c tieating,inc.will do repairs to the unit,but will not take respansibility/liability for any soot damage to#he
equipment or the premises.

Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary,under no circumstances,Nrhether arising in the cont�act,equity,tort
