Engineering America Co. respectfully submits the attached DRC application for review of exterior modifications to 96 Union Ave. including: - Removal of the existing South exterior stairs to allow for the installation of new kitchen windows along the Southern wall of the residence; to simplify& "open up" the South wall of the residence. - Removal of the existing covered / enclosed basement entry with a Bilco door replacement; to "blend" the basement access below the sight line of the main house architectural elements - Removal of a previous dining addition with the replacement of a new dining area - Removal of a previous 2' floor wood deck with the addition of an enclosed sunroom (above the new dining area). - Construction of a new mud porch entry along the East side of the existing building. - Addition of several new windows to allow light into new interior spaces The additions and changes in footprint have been approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Copies of the approval is attached with this submittal. We respectfully request to be placed on the next available agenda for review of the areas that we would like to remove / replace,with the understanding that future meetings will be require more details including specific windows,grill patterns, etc. Early removal of the existing elements that are in disrepair (ie. upper decks and rear stairs) will remove unsafe conditions and facilitate the interior renovations as we continue with the DRC approval process.
