Comments It was very disturbing that, after being told that the 269
Broadway project would be first on the 3-24-2022 agenda and
there would be opportunity for public comment, the project was
moved to last on the agenda, the applicant was once again
given more than 15 minutes for their presentation and then the
public was told it was too late to speak (after a 4 1/2 hour wait).
It is particularly damaging because the applicant's responses to
critical issues are often not accurate. The public has little
opportunity to correct these inaccuracies before the Planning
Board members are convinced that the issue no longer exists.
Prime example: Last night, the applicant claimed there will be
sufficient street parking for the hundreds of employees who will
need all day parking, yet the streets identified are mostly no
parking, or 2-3 hour parking zones intended for their customers!
Some people are already avoiding downtown Saratoga Springs
because of the traffic congestion and having to park so far from
their destination. They can get similar services in nearby
communities without these problems.
