city be so big? It would be intrusive at best. When I first saw the design, which by the way
NEVER looks like the end result, I thought it resembled the entrance to a Ball Park. Whatever
happened to a balanced approach? Is that too challenging? Take for example the new
building on Henry Street. To offset it's cheap and ugly appearance, they display in their
storefront, street level windows large photos and examples of beautiful architecture during a
time period when design mattered, not just how much money a developer could make. It
makes no sense. If that is what you admire, why not design with that in mind???? Also the
large building at 321 Broadway has been looking for tenants to fill the enormous structure for
years, if there is such a great need for office space in this city, why are there vacancies?
Care about the school, the institution (Saratoga Central Catholic) and come up with a design
comparable, that would complement the landscape. Not something that screams a new bully
just moved in.
