J P roect Ad d ress 268 6 roadway ] Comments When the head of the Saratoga Springs Design Review Committee publicly says the building proposed at 269 Broadway "looks like a cruise ship docked on Broadway," we all know there is a problem. Like a cruise ship on Broadway, this building is totally out of place. It is too big and will tower over everything nearby. It would sit on a fairly narrow two lane section of Broadway. Traffic and parking are already issues. The developer claims that their 70 underground parking spots will take care of the parking issue. The building is expected to accommodate hundreds of employees as well as retail customers. The very limited two hour parking in this area cannot accommodate these cars. Where will they go? In addition the excavation of the site to build a two story underground parking lot leaves many questions unanswered as excavation will dig below the water table significantly. Do we know what effect this will have on neighboring properties? Who will take responsibility for potentially irreversible damages to nearby properties? "Looks like a cruise ship docked on Broadway." Is this the d i rection ou r city shou Id take? Attach Photo o tional Field not completed. p ) Email not displaying correctly? VIeW It I Cl y0U I' bl'OWSeI'.
