Good day, My name is Jennifer Leidig and I am writing on behalf of both myself and my husband Marc Leidig in support of Mark and Sharon Swain's proposed structure, located at 13 Seward St. in Saratoga Springs. We live at 11 Pearl St., which is diagonally across from their existing home. It is my understanding they wish to build a garage with a second floor, 1 bedroom apartment, on the left side of their property. In our immediate area, we have a similar structure one house down on Pearl St. The Swain's proposed structure would not be uncharacteristic or out of place in our neighborhood. If the proposed structure is in keeping with the lool< and feel of their house at 13 Seward St., including incorporating the gambrel roof, aesthetically speaking, it would be visually preferable to the vacant lot, which currently exists. It is also my understanding the proposed apartment would also offer off-street parking, thereby not creating an extra burden for the surrounding area. Thank you for accepting our comments on this matter and we would appreciate they be entered into the record.
