Comments I am writing to voice concerns about the proposed building at
269 Broadway. I am happy to see the land be used but feel the
proposed design is counter to what Downtown Saratoga & the
historic district needs or wants. I am not opposed to modern
buildings or new construction (I just built a home) but also un-
derstand that part of what makes Saratoga special is the charm
of downtown. This building has no charm and should not be the
"welcome" people get when they drive into Saratoga. The new
condos on Broadway (next to Fingerpaint) managed to do mod-
ern but with the Saratoga Springs charm so that it doesn't stick
out like a sore thumb. That is proof that both can be accom-
plished. Please do not approve this new building as currently
designed. Thank you.
