J P r0ect Ad d ress 269 6 roadway ] Comments I cannot state strongly enough how I feel this building , as shown, will negatively impact our city; the massive structure of the building, it'smodern design, it's intended use plan will adversely affect the "flavor" of the neighborhood, the entryway to the city, the views of Saratoga Springs from this general location and the scope of new construction in the city. We are Rapidly overshadowing the Victorian. Charm that IS Saratoga Springs. We have gradually loosened restrictions on style, height and use on buildings and these types of oversized, improperly placed, lot -filling buildings are what are constantly being proposed now. As someone who grew up here from 3 generations of Saratogians; ands returned here out of love for it; I am not sure how all of this started or became allowable. We do not need or benefit from these massive squared off buildings. Why no Victorian- friendly architectural styles or details? Must all the expense be put into square footage? You can find these buildings in every town in every city in every state that makes the same mistake of compromising their uniqueness and livability for development that focuses only on revenue. We really have to think about the long-term picture of what we are doing. The tipping point where we are THAT special Saratoga Springs no longer.
