Susan,
I met with Patrick Cogan today (copied) and we reviewed
the Written Eva/uation of Occupancy Code Compliance for
an Existing Dormitory. After review, we agree that the
General Building Evaluation, Occupant Loads, Means of
Egress Sizing, Number of Exits, Accessible Means of Egress,
Exit Travel Distance as noted are accurate to the current
building code.
In discussing the total building occupancy, we agreed on
a tota/ dormitory occupancy of 250 Occupants (we
were previously requesting an increase to 415)
• 1St Floor 80 Occupants and a maximum of six beds
per room
� 2nd and 3rd Floors 85 Occupants per floor with a
maximum of six beds per room
Additionally, I have drafted the requested Program
Narrative describing the operations and need/justification
for the additional students. This document also
summarizes current staffing numbers and parking.
Because the existing parking (53 spaces) supports the
intended use and increased occupancy, we are not
providing a site plan as there will be no change to the
record documents.
It is our hope this can be approved administratively but
understand that this may not be possible. if not, we would
like to get on the agenda at the earliest possible
convenience.
