Attached please find the revised ED-1 and LMG-1 Sheets of the plan set for the Van Dorn &Seward Street Subdivision
which includes the revisions based on your comments received via email on 6/24/21. Below you will find individual
responses to your comments.
1. Comment:Do the services for the house that is to remain go out the back?
Response: The water service and sanitary sewer service for the house to remain is directed to Seward Street along
the northern property boundary line. The approximate locations of the utilities have been added to the plans and a
call-out has also been added stating the contractor is to verify the existing service locations prior to construction.
Additionally, a utility easement is proposed for the existing services to the house and garage to remain.
2. Comment:Move the curb stop for lot 4 out of the sidewalk.
Response: The curb stop for Lot 4 has been relocated outside of the sidewalk and driveway into the grass area on Lot
4.
3. Comment:Show the finish floor elevation.
Response: The plans have been revised to include the proposed finish floor elevations.
4. Comment: There may be more than one sewer and water service?
Response: The as-built drawings and surveyor investigation information indicate (1)sanitary sewer service and(3)
water services and curb stops are present. Record data indicates utility service to 3 homes along Seward Street.
Based on the quantity and location of PVC clean outs& curb stops, there appears to be (1)single sanitary sewer
service with individual branches to the respective homes along Seward Street and(3) water services. Call-outs have
been added to Sheet LM6-1 stating the above information. The call-outs also state the contractor is to verify quantity
and location of lines to be relocated and coordinate with the Design Engineer and City of Saratoga Springs DPW prior
to all construction.
Lastly, I provided the copy of the response letter to Mr. Grant's comments for which you stated you had received the
letter and did not see the sheet.

and we will coordinate delivery to your office.

I have reviewed your response to my comments Dated May 7,2021 and have the following questions.

Also I do not see a response to the Comments from out Designated Engineer.

Scott see attached drawing comments.

1. Show the existing conditions survey on one sheet then show a subdivision on another sheet.
2. Show the 10' sewer easement to the City on the survey
3. Show the water and sewer service for all building on the property.
4. Show the location of the curb box on the Layout, Materials, and Grading Plan. Install curb box a min. of 5' from
property line.
5. Why are the street trees not in the R.O.W.?
6. Have test pits been done to determine the elevation of bed rock? Show basement floor elevation.
7. Sewer manhole to the North can be opened.
8. Confirm that Fire apparatus turn-around is acceptable to the Fire Department.
9. Determine the condition of the sewer line to be relocated from the metal cleanout to the sewer main. If condition
is poor, properly abandon and continue
in a straight line to the sewer main. Show the new easement for the relocated sewer service. Determine the
number of sewer services in this area,
easement give permission to 3 separate parcels ( 38,40, 42 Seweard St ).
10. Remove sump pump lateral location on typical Lot Layout Detail as there is no storm on Van Dorn St.
11. The City would like to see the two maple along Seward St removed.
