HomeMy WebLinkAbout20211239 61 Van Dorn & 46/46A Seward Variance Extension Correspondance (2) 2452 STATE ROUTE B LARl�II\IC3 ENGINEERING, PC MALTA,NYI1202O0 T(51 BJ B9B-5243 F(51 BJ B:]9-5245 December 16, 2021 Mr. Keith Kaplan Zoning Board Chairman City of Saratoga Springs 474 Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 RE:Van Dorn&Seward Street Subdivision—Variance Extension Request Dear Mr. Kaplan: A variance application was provided to the City of Saratoga Springs Zoning Board for several variances associated with the development of a 4-lot subdivision on behalf of Top Dog Enterprises, LLC for the property located between Van Dorn &Seward Street in the City of Saratoga Springs. The project received approval of the variances from the Zoning Board on July 6,2020. Lansing Engineering would like to request consideration of the extension application of the Variance Approvals for the Van Dorn &Seward Street Subdivision. Following the variance application approval by the Zoning Board, no significant changes have been made to the proposed subdivision engineering plans. The project continues to include three (3) new residential lots along Van Dorn Street with the existing lot maintaining access along Seward Street. An email confirmation was received from Mr. Matt Zeno of the Engineering Department, and Barton & Loguidice (City Designated Review Engineer) stating all comments have been addressed and no additional action is required.The emails are attached for your reference. The process to complete the subdivision application process and the remaining conditions outlined by the Planning Boar has taken longer than expected and requires the extension of the originally approved area variances. The applicant is aware of the remaining conditions of final approval and is committed to providing the final required items to the City of Saratoga Springs however,construction is not anticipated to begin until after the current expiration date of January 6, 2022. We request that the Van Dorn &Sewer Street Subdivision Variance Extension request be placed on the next available City Zoning Board agenda.
