Comments Dear Chairman Torpey and Members of the Saratoga
Planning Board:
As you know,we represent a group of neighbors who a
citizens residing in the Birch Run Community,as well a
Morgan Street and Myrtle Street neighborhoods. Our cl
live in close proximity to Saratoga Hospital's(the"appli
proposed expansion project(the"project")and have se
concerns regarding the project. This letter is a follow-uI
letter we submitted in November.
Enclosed are photographs taken of the Morgan and My
Street neighborhoods, which illustrate the quiet neighbc
character of the current surrounding community. The pi
project will be completely inconsistent with the current
community character, which is just one of the significar
adverse impacts that the proposed project will have on
surrounding community. As such,we reiterate our requ
the Planning Board to issue a positive declaration undo
SEQRA.Indeed,since the proposed project,a three-pr
project consisting of over 100,000 square feet of buildir
clearly has"the potential for at least one significant adv
environmental impact",the Planning Board must issue
positive declaration and require the preparation of an E
this Type I action.6 NYCRR§617.7(a)(2).
We thank the Board for its consideration of our comme
for your deliberation in this matter.
