Re: Abdou-Malta Request for Variance—21 Gridley Avenue
Dear Chairman Caplan:
I am the owner of a number of parcels located on Gridley Avenue in Saratoga Springs. It has
come to my attention that my neighbors, the Abdou-Malta's are seeking a variance to construct a
garage and front porch at their residence located at 21 Gridley Avenue.
I write this letter in full support of their request for the variance. Gridley Avenue and the
property would plainly benefit from homeowners, like the Abdou-Malta's who make investments
in their property which has the collateral impact of improving the character and property values
of the neighborhood on the whale. Since this part of Gridley is not densely settled, the failure to
strictly meet the City's zoning requirements will not detract from the appearance of the
community.
As a neighbor on Gridley, I respectfully request that the Abdou-Malta's request for a variance be
granted.
