Comments I moved into my single family home 10 years ago knowing that
this block was considered a single family zoned neighborhood.
Although Mr. Waite has been a wonderful "neighbor", and has
rented to a mostly quiet clientele, it can be discouraging with all
the activity next to me - I sometimes feel like I live next to a
long term hotel. I am concerned about setting a precedent al-
lowing for 3 family at 85 Nelson, which would make it easier for
the next person who buys his properties to get a 3 family for 87
as well (next door to me) - and to build on to it. I want to con-
tinue quiet enjoyment of my home. And after speaking with a
realtor, it was suggested that my property value could depreci-
ate. I do not want to create any harm to Mr. Waite - he has
been a very good neighbor- but I don't know what would hap-
pen with any future buyer. Therefore, unless I have time to re-
search this issue further and find that no harm would come to
my privacy, quiet enjoyment and home value, I am not ready at
this time to be in favor of this 3 family use variance.
