HomeMy WebLinkAbout20210577 Sgori Area Variance Public Comment (2)
Zoning Board Members-
After long consideration and consultation with several friends, I feel that the concerns I have voiced in
both my prior written and spoken statements are legitimate and not “without merit” as the Sgori’s have
stated.
At our latitude, the sun passes to the south of us at its highest point in the day (not overhead), and is
much lower to the south in the winter months. The Sgori’s house is south of mine and between the
sun’s path and mine. If this second story is added to the Sgori’s home I will be living in its shadow from
now on.
And those second story rear windows in this proposal will be looking down on my home and yard -back
and front- from now on, significantly taking away from my privacy in an invasive way.
(Also, the hedge the Sgori’s talk about removing is actually on my side of the property line. It has grown
over considerably onto their side, but the root balls are on my side of the line, which they can see by the
property line stake at the sidewalk between our properties.)
I still feel that the small size of the lot at 331 Caroline – which has already received an %11 additional
variance in the past- has reached its maximum buildout.
In particular, this proposed second story’s location will impact my home very directly in what I perceive
is a negative and permanent way.
I am still asking that the board deny their request for a second story variance.
