NOTICE OF DECISION
In the matter of the application
#20210501
19 Washington St. Development— Demo only
365 Broadway
Saratoga Springs, New York 12866
involving Historic Review determination of historic/architectural significance for three structures (rear
addition of former Bethesda Parish House, single-story garage structure, and single-story "Candy Store")
and demolition of those structures within the Transect-6 Urban Core District, tax parcel #165.67-I-14,
within the City of Saratoga Springs.
In accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617, the Planning Board acting as SEQRA lead agent issued a negative
declaration of environmental impact on June 24, 2021.
Consistent with Section 7.4. 1 I "Demolition" of the City's Zoning Ordinance, the Design Review
Commission determines that these three structures:
Does not have Architectural and/or Historical significance contributing to the historic fabric and
resources of the City of Saratoga Springs.
And, in accordance with the objectives, standards and guidelines contained in the City Zoning Ordinance
Article 240-7.4 Historic Review, the Design Review Commission issues the following decision on July 21,
2021:
Approve the demolition of three structures as submitted or shown on the attached plans
Note: this approval shall expire 18 months from the issuance date unless any necessary building permit has been
issued and actual work begun.
Record of vote: motion to approve made by T. Ehinger, seconded by E. Sheehan: passed 6-0
In favor: T. Ehinger, K. Cavotta, R. DuBoff,J. Gritsavage, T. Roemer, E. Sheehan
Absent: L. DiCarlo
As a result of this decision, the applicant:
C� may proceed with the proposed demolition as approved
