Comments 1. Owners were NOT notified of this project. One owner has
owned since before it was built, still owns 3 Townhouses and
was not notified. I was not notified and I paid taxes last year.
Other people in my building were not notified and they paid
taxes before I did.
2. The project builder acknowledged problems BUT blamed ev-
ery problem we brought up on the CITY. He is just the builder,
he doesn't know how or why the City did what they did.
3. The builder has no experience maintaining buildings like the
ones proposed, particularly the diverse population. They only
have experience with senior housing.
4. The security of the current residents was addressed by say-
ing they would put in cameras!
5. The access and egress for the current residents is not satis-
factory. THERE IS ONE WAY OUT AND THAT WOULD BE
RIGHT WHERE ALL THOSE NEW RESIDENTS WILL NEED
PARKING SPACES AS WILL THE DAYCARE EMPLOYEES.
The way out also encumbers on the entrance to the hotel. Hotel
residents often park on Excelsior. 56 rentals figuring 1.1 car for
each rental would equal way more than the proposed 79 spa-
ces supposedly available. Plus the 11-13 daycare workers
need to park! The parking is difficult now. Either the roads need
serious widening or all of us that live in the dead end are
trapped. There are furniture rental trucks here everyday, all
kinds of delivery vehicles everyday, no parking, moving vans
are here. If a firetruck or ambulance comes in, we can't get out!
Hopefully they can get in. During the winter, they will not be
able to get in. There was one lane plowed on Whistler Court.
The sidewalks out of the cul-de-sac were not plowed or shov-
eled all winter! Not that there are adequate side walks, even in
the summer.
5. Workforce housing residents will have children. I have lived
here a year and have not seen even 5 children! With children
living here there will be a need for school buses, at least 3-4
every morning and mid to late afternoon. The congestion will b
