Dear Richard and Dave:
A copy of the enclosed "Public Hearing Notification" letter advertising for an area variance at 59
Franklin St must be sent to property owners at least seven (7) days, but not more than twenty (20)
days. before March 4, 2019 as follows:
The applicant shall obtain from the City the names and addresses ofproperty owners within
a geographic radius from the applicant's subject property boundary as indicated below. Area
Variance: 100 feet". (Zoning Ordinance- Section 8.4.5.2).
E Property owners can be identified via the Saratoga County GIS mapping system. Please find
attached hereto. A copy of the enclosed notice must be sent to each property owner address listed,
in city provided envelopes which are available at the Zoning Department. Only city provided
notice shall be sent, no additional or self produced materials shall be concluded.
L Proof of mailing(a "certificate of mailing") issued from the Post Office must be filed with the
Land Use Board Coordinator prior to the hearing. Please note that a "certificate of mailing" is
not the same as "certified mail". The "Public Hearing Notification" letter does not need to be sent
by "certified mail".
L The legal ad will be placed in the Saratogian the Wednesday prior to the hearing. Proof of
payment of the legal ad must also be filed with the Zoning Board Secretary prior to the hearing.
You will need to stop into the Saratogian billing office prior to the meeting to make the payment.
They will not send you an invoice.
1 The applicant or a representative must be present at the meeting to make a presentation before the
Board or the Board may not hear the application.

Public Hearing Notification Letter
Dear Property Owner:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Richard and David DeVall has applied to the Saratoga Springs
Zoning Board of Appeals (Project #3022) for an area variance associated with a two-lot subdivision in
the Urban Residential-2 District at 59 Franklin St. The property is identified as Tax Parcel #165.59-1-
54 on the Saratoga Springs Assessment Map.
A public hearing on this application will be held before the Zoning Board of Appeals on March 4,
2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 15 Vanderbilt Aye, Saratoga Springs, New York.
